          Hi Markus,

Please excuse the late reply, we are currently a bit stretched with answering OTOBO related queries on all channels.

I think the easiest solution is, configure a SMTP Host to send E-Mails. Please go to Admin -> System Configuration and Search for “Sendmail”. In the next step choose SMTPS or SMTPTLS and configure your mail gateway.

          Best wishes from Germany!

              OTOBO Team,

SMTP mails are stuck in processing in the queue, this occurred after the Customer<–>Groups feature was enabled. After resetting the Customer<–>Groups back to disabled, in Admin-> Communication the SMTP does not show up under Failing accounts as it normally did with a tick. However under the option Open communications all SMTP communication are stuck in the queue over 1465 mails. The SendmailModule is set to: Kernel::System::Email::SMTP. The smtp port set to 25. I can telnet successfully to the exchange server.

              Any advice would be great

Markus, can you share at a greater level of detail how you solved this, I have the same problem and I went to system configuration but what specific module did you have to manipulate to solve this?
