Hello OTOBO Community,

I’m a new player in the Otobo community, and I want to be part of the Otobo team.

I would like to share an open source package that I have been developing for OTOBO called AISummaryPackage.

The package brings AI powered summarisation directly into the Ticket Zoom interface, allowing agents to understand long ticket conversations without reading the entire history.

Features

• AI generated ticket summaries
• AI generated article summaries
• Administration page for package configuration
• Configurable AI provider, currently OpenAI, with a provider architecture designed for future expansion
• Custom prompts for ticket and article summaries
• Prompt variables for ticket, customer, article, and AI generated content
• AI summaries are stored as internal articles
• Existing AI summary articles are automatically excluded from future summarisation
• Docker friendly logging for debugging and troubleshooting

The package has been tested with OTOBO 11.0.x and is distributed as a standard OPM package.

I would really appreciate feedback from the community. Suggestions, feature requests, code review comments, and general recommendations are all welcome.

I also have a question for the OTOBO maintainers.

Is there an official process for publishing third party packages in an official or community OTOBO package repository?

If such a process exists, I would be happy to prepare the package according to the recommended guidelines and requirements.

Thank you very much for wanting to support the OTOBO community. Could you please send an email to dev@otobo.io? Our development team will then get in touch with you to discuss the next steps.

We are currently working on similar features (among other things), and I’d like to see if we can consolidate our efforts. The OTOBO AI release is scheduled for September.
